The history of Peter Bowers Opticians dates back to the 1930s, with Peter's grandfather opening his own watch making, optical and jewellery shop in Silverdale near Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Our History
Both Peter's parents qualified as ophthalmic opticians and had, at different times, independent optical practices in both Stone and Newcastle-under-Lyme, paving the way for Peter to establish his own practice.
Situated on Stone High Street, Peter Bowers Optometrist is celebrating 40 years this year, cementing a strong family foundation of providing optical services in Staffordshire.
After a career establishing a reputation for clinical excellence in Stone, Peter Bowers retired in 2019. Now Alison, Kelly and Georgina, along with their team, look after your eyes and ears. Alison has been at Peter Bowers for nearly 30 years and both Kelly and Georgina leading into the future of eyecare for the community of Stone and surrounds
